Implementing New Curricular Learning with
Universally Designed Experiences
The INCLUDE grant was awarded by the New Jersey Department of Education and is federally funded. The goal is to provide middle school math teachers with resources and support in the general education math classrooms to meet the learning needs of EVERY student. This includes those with special needs, English language learners, and struggling math students. The INCLUDE project is designed to improve academic achievement in mathematics by effectively using educational technology. The four phase initiative will provide a team of teachers with skills and strategies in differentiated instruction as well as appropriate technology tools to secure success for their students. The BRMS administration is confident that with professional development through the Universal Design for Learning (UDL) Foundation, our teachers will use successful instructional strategies and techniques resulting in increased student achievement and positive and safe classroom environments.
